I'm a Learning and Development consultant who specializes in learning design for any industry, topic, skill set, and audience.
My mission is to get learners coming back for more! To move from yawn-inducing, box-checking training 'requirements' scheduled into a day, to something learners seek out for themselves and find value from. Dare I say, even find enjoyable and engaging!
I'm curious about others.
I get into the psyche of the audience I am designing for. What do they care about? What is relevant to them? How can I help them fall in love with their job again? I put the learner first. I want to dispel prior notions they've had of 'tick and flick' training to make their experience a positive and useful one.
I'm a content development nerd.
I'm passionate about creating contextual, visually appealing, and memorable materials. I work in multiple formats. Videos, eLearning modules, job aids, help documentation, manuals, and facilitator guides - you name it, and I will make it from scratch.
I've gained experience from the ground up.
This makes me a generalist who has spent time doing the detailed work (and still do)! I've worked as a Learning Coordinator, Advisor, Consultant, eLearning Specialist and Instructional Designer. I have experience with managing projects in multiple learning management systems and platforms. I'm comfortable with every aspect of the training life-cycle, and build solutions to match organizational structures.
I've worked across many different industries.
I've worked with a variety of people from different industries. From compliance, to software, engineering, construction, transport, utilities, staffing solutions, retail / fashion, and aged care - I adapt the skills I apply in each project to complement my stakeholder's knowledge and skills.
